Ryan Crump - Brass Instructor

Ryan Crump is an active performer and educator from Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is currently a Music Education Major at Colorado State University-Pueblo. As a performer, he has played in the University's Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Trombone Choir, Brass Quintet, along with performing in the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra on trombone and bass trombone. He has had the pleasure of touring the country while performing with two of the country's premier DCI marching ensembles the Blue Knights (2011) and the Madison Scouts (2013).

As an educator, Ryan has instructed many ensembles in Southern Colorado. He is currently the Brass and Visual Caption Head at Rock Canyon. In addition to teaching at Rock Canyon, he teaches for Sand Creek HS and Harrison HS. Besides teaching marching band, Ryan has held various clinics and sectionals for schools in Southern Colorado. He has an active trombone studio, with former students making All-State and/or pursuing music in college. Ryan is currently taking time off of school and is the Southern Colorado Educational Representative at the Colorado Institute of Musical Instrument Technology (CIOMIT). In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and playing video games. He is extremely excited to be joining Altitude this coming season!
